Not long been back at the hotel after my first day at work here. Peru has always been a place I’ve wanted to visit, and although I won’t have time to see the likes of Machu Picchu or anything like that, I’ll try to make the most of the city, especially after a 14 hour flight to get here!

 

I was lucky enough to be taken around a bit after work before being dropped off at the hotel itself.

 

The first stop was a park on the top of the cliffs, with nice views in either direction.

 

 

 

 

We then stopped off at another viewpoint looking back at the city.

 

 

 

These guys were nuts, they’d jump off the cliffs you see in the photo above – I wasn’t really sure why!

 

 

 

Then it was back to the hotel….

 

 

….trying to beat the traffic!

 

 

I’ve been recommended to try a bus tour of the city, which starts at 7pm. So I’d easily be able to do that after work – might give that a shot!
